Tooth Extractions in Oklahoma City and Yukon

Expert Dentists, Gentle & High-Tech Care

Your Health Is Our #1 Priority

We never want to extract a tooth unless it’s 100% necessary to eliminate pain or restore your dental health.

You only get one set of teeth, so whenever possible we will work with you to help you save your natural teeth. In some cases, we may recommend a filling, root canal, or change to your diet and brushing routine to eliminate tooth decay and restore the health of your smile.

In some cases, however, a tooth may need to be extracted. This may be a result of:

  • Cracked or broken teeth
  • Extensive decay or disease
  • Extreme tooth crowding

We will review every option available to you before recommending an extraction. We use high-tech digital imaging technology to assess the health of your teeth and gums. This helps us make an informed decision about the best course of treatment for your smile.

When an extraction is needed, we take great pride in making the procedure as comfortable as possible.

“Should my teen have their wisdom teeth out?”

Everybody’s different and sometimes it’s important for wisdom teeth to come out for health reasons. But in some cases, it might be better to take a wait-and-see approach when it comes to your kid’s wisdom teeth.

Are you worried you might need a tooth extraction?

Be on the lookout for symptoms like:

  • Chipped, cracked, or broken teeth, especially after a car crash or other accident
  • Teeth that feel loose in your mouth, especially if you suffer from gum disease
  • Severe jaw pain or chronic headaches
  • Swelling, fever, or other signs of infection in your mouth

But remember, only a dentist you trust can accurately determine if you need a tooth extraction. If you’ve been told one of your teeth needs to come out, we’re happy to offer a second opinion to see if there’s a better option available.

Sedation Options For Your Comfort

At First Impressions Dentistry, tooth extractions can be made more comfortable through the use of sedation dentistry options like:

  • Nitrous Oxide
  • Oral Sedation
  • Conscious IV Sedation

If you’re at all nervous or anxious before your tooth extraction, let us know. Our dentists will answer your questions and help you feel relaxed and as comfortable as possible.
